You might always be complaining to your destiny for not having enough of what you want. Well, it's not only you. Most of the people around the world have this complaint. You'll always hear people around you grumbling over their financial problems. You probably have friends who are always upset about people being ungrateful to them. And it could be you who always feels the lack of prosperity. Whether it's you or your friends and colleagues, everyone struggles with this feeling of lack and the sense of being not rewarded enough. But many of you might be surprised to know the fact that you are not receiving enough because you are not giving enough. I doubt you believed what you just read. Why would you not give enough for what you desperately want. Well, you need to sit back, relax and think about it seriously. But for now, you can read further and find out why you are not receiving enough.
First let's talk about more apparently logical and practical part of this topic. A lot of you might not be interested in topics like mind power, energy and vibration. So, let's go further without sounding spiritual. You must be aware of the fact that people who are world famous are the ones who have done something extraordinary. And extraordinary should not be understood as something supernatural. Extraordinary here means extra effort. People who have maintained their status of being multimillionaire and billionaire for years are not among those who achieve overnight success. It's just that the extra effort they put in achieving their goals remains unseen by most of us. Had all of them worked 9 to 5 everyday, they wouldn't be where they are. Instead, they gave more than what they wished to receive. And as a consequence of relentless effort, they stood out from billions of ordinary people. In his book The Mastery-key to Riches, Napolean Hill has dedicated a chapter to the importance of going the extra mile. In that chapter he tells a story of Charles M. Schwab who always performed more and better service than that for which he was paid. Not only did he work more but he did it with a pleasing mental attitude. From a labourer, he made it up to being the president of the United States Steel Corporation, at a salary of $75,000 a year. The salary was already a big achievement  but his habit of giving more deserved more. So, on some occasions, Andrew Carnegie gave him as much as $1,000,000 as a bonus. And when he was asked why he gave him so much money, Andrew Carnegie replied, "I gave him his salary for the work he actually performed, and the bonus for his willingness to go the extra mile, thus setting a fine example for his fellow workers". So, he was rewarded for the willingness to do more than he was paid for. It's not that he was a lucky guy to suddenly win a jackpot. He received it because he deserved it for generously giving his precious time to his work.
If you are one among those who asks for a logical and practical example, I hope you are quite satisfied. So, let's jump to a more spiritual aspect. The existence of nature itself is an incredible phenomenon. So, we can't always find logic in each and everything. Having heard about Buddhist beliefs from my childhood, I can say that one of the beliefs in Buddhism is that Karma keeps multiplying the effect or value of whatever you generously give to others without the feeling of regret and greed. However, it's not just about Buddhist beliefs. Different people from different spiritual backgrounds do believe that giving more results in receiving more. One of them is Deepak Chopra, who is also a bestselling author. In his book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, Deepak Chopra emphasizes the importance of giving in the second chapter titled "The Law of Giving". He writes, "The more you give, the more you will receive, because you will keep the abundance of the universe circulating in your life. In fact, anything that is of value in life only multiplies when it is given. That which doesn't multiply through giving is neither worth giving nor worth receiving. If, through the act of giving, you feel you have lost something,  then the gift is not truly given and will not increase. If you give grudgingly, there is no energy behind that giving". So, he basically tells you to give something to everyone you come into contact with. It could be just a flower, a moment of smile or a prayer - not necessarily money. Have no feeling of regret while giving. Be grateful for everything you receive in your life. And be open to receiving from others. Once you let the circulation happen, you'll certainly experience the presence of joy, wealth and affluence in your life.
If you read all above concepts and still couldn't be convinced, then I'm pretty sure that this one is going to be something you won't disapprove of. I don't think you will disagree with me if I say that when you give your best in anything you do, it gives you 100% satisfaction. Let's assume that you are a teacher. You've worked so hard with sincerity and dedication. There are many students who have learned a lot from you. You keep teaching for several years. One day, you get sick. You are admitted at a hospital because you are in a serious condition. Eventually you get cured, and the doctor comes to you and says, "I have been one of your students. Today I am a successful doctor just because of your guidance and inspiration. How could I let you down?  I'm fortunate that I could save your life". Imagine how you would feel. And it's just one instance. If you always practise giving more, you will experience so many moments of extreme satisfication.
So, are you ready to give more and receive even more?
